Cincinnati Reds prospect Billy Hamilton, a short stop for the Double-A Pensacola Blue Wahoos, has already made headlines this year by stealing a total of 109 bases. 104 with the Class-A advanced  Bakersfield Blaze, and five with the Blue Wahoos.

In just his fifth game with Pensacola and against the Jacksonville Suns, the Reds young Road Runner raced around the diamond in 13.8 seconds. That’s faster than Angels CF Peter Bourjos‘ which took place earlier this season and was completed in 14.26 seconds.

The even more amazing part of this is that Hamilton went into home standing…so he wasn’t even going full speed at the end! Reds fans must be licking their chops at the idea of Hamilton being a pinch runner for the Reds once the roster expands.
